BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU AT GLORY MARTIAL ARTS
Our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program at Glory Martial Arts encompasses both traditional Gi (uniform) training as well as No-Gi training. We offer this class at our Orlando and Altamonte Springs location. BJJ is critical to learning how to defend yourself and compete when on the ground. A main component of MMA or Mixed Martial Arts, Jiu Jitsu became popular in the U.S.A. when Royce Gracie won the first UFC.
We recommend learning BJJ if you’re interested in self defense as it prepares you for uncomfortable situations standing up and on the ground. You will learn how to control and escape threatening situations in Glory’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes!
WHAT IS GI & WHAT IS NO GI?
In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we often wear a gi or uniform. No gi simply means “no uniform”. At Glory Martial Arts, we train in both the gi and also in no gi to get the most out of training. Gi training is important for understanding BJJ fundamentals as well as competing. No gi is great for those looking to add to their BJJ arsenal as well as those looking to compete in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
